Home from home in Kilfenora Burren

Brook Cottage is a beautifully renovated cottage situated in quiet and peaceful rural countryside near Kilfenora, Co.Clare, Ireland. It is surrounded by large old trees and a little stream flows right beside it - a perfect playground for your children! It is also an ideal touring base to explore the Burren!

The charming cottage has been brought up to date whilst retaining many of the original features of a traditional Irish farm house. The sitting room features with flag stone floor and a wooden ceiling features an open fire place, a flat screen TV, antiques and many traditional fixtures. The kitchen cum dining room is fully equipped, including a variety of cooking utensils and tastefully selected tableware. The door opens to the patio, ideal for the warmer days! There are two bedrooms (1 double ensuite with shower/WC, 1 bedrooom with double and single beds) to sleep up to 5 people in great comfort. The main bathroom has a shower over tub, hand basin and WC.

The locality offers a wide variety of activities, from angling in the near lakes & rivers to walking or cycling on the quiet country roads of the Burren. Surfing and swimming is possible on the beach in Lahinch, just 20 mins. away. Kilfenora is a short walk from the house, with traditional pubs , shops and restaurants.

The owners of the cottage, Senan & Margaret O'Loughlin live nearby and have a great reputation for the care they take of their guests. Margaret has received a Tripadvisor award for excellency!
